Cool Pics

This is me and James, Mike, Chris, and John...better known as the Eli Yound Band!  These are some of the coolest guys in the world!  I cannot wait until they come back to The Valley!  We're gonna try and get them down for a public concert REAL soon!

Me and Tracy Byrd at Stock Show '08...We thought it was funny that we were both wearing caps with blaze orange and camo on them.

Connie and I on the bus with The Randy Rogers Band before the show 4/25/08.  These guys are awesome!  If you didn't make it to the show...make it a point to go the next time they are in The Valley!

Here's a pic of the Big Dog Daddy himself with yours truly and my fiancee Connie.

HOW DID SHE GET TO MEET MIRANDA AND I DIDN'T!?!?

THIS IS ME AND WILD BILL FROM OUR ANNUAL BIRTHDAY BASH.  WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY BIRTHDAY CAKE?

Just a lazy day on Lake Brownwood.

Here I am trying to teach Connie and her daughter Keilah how to get a fish off of the hook.  Keilah was mad that she had to throw it back because it was her first fish.  It was more like a minnow.

FINALLY SOME VACATION TIME!
Wednesday 06-25-2008 4:37pm CT
I am so excited...and exhausted at the same time...but, tomorrow will be better.  My fiancee Connie and I are going to take a short, but whirlwind vacation this weekend.  It all starts tomorrow night as we travel up to Corpus to see The Eli Young Band and Ryan Turner at The Brewster Street Icehouse.  Then Friday, we get up and travel to San Antonio to meet up with some friends and then catch Jason Boland and the Stragglers that night at Cowboys in S.A.  Saturday, while the gals go shopping, my buddies and I will be lounging around the pool (recovering) and getting ready to catch Roger Creager in concert at John T. Floore Country Store in Helotes!  Sunday, IT'S TIME TO GO SHOPPING FOR GUY STUFF AT CABELA'S!!!!!  Me and an empty credit card at Cabela's...not good...I will give you an update next week.

See you outdoors

FATHER'S DAY
Monday 06-16-2008 6:45pm CT

So, technically I am not a dad.  I am not "technically" a step dad yet...however, my fiancee and her three daughters made sure that I had a GREAT Father's Day.  The first thing that they did was make sure I had 7 hours of peace and quiet yesterday by everybody vacating the house and leaving me alone to watch NASCAR and take naps all afternoon.  That would have been enough of a Father's Day gift for me, but when they got home last evening, my soon to be step daughters came in and gave me a wonderful gift...a knife sharpening kit that not only sharpens knives, but it also sharpens scissors, steak knives, food proccessor blades and blender blades!  That's an swesome gift for a hunting, fishing redneck like me!  But then, my fiancee came in and gave me not one, but two gifts!  First, was a ice cream maker (which I had been wanting for a while) and this...
Coca-Cola Personal Fridge with AC Adapter - KWC4
it's a Coca Cola personal fridge that holds 6 cans at a time and plugs into a wall outlet OR plus into your lighter in your car!  This is an awesome gift for two reasons, first of all, I collect Coca Cola stuff and it will be great on my upcoming trip to San Antonio!  I am a lucky man and could not have asked for a better Father's Day.

IT'S HARD TO BE A REDNECK THESE DAYS...
Thursday 05-29-2008 3:47pm CT
With gas prices just a stone's throw away from four dollars a gallon, it's hard to be a redneck these days.  As you may or may not know, I am a hunting, fishing, pickup driving redneck and am dang proud of it.  But with the price of fuel being what it is, I am having to make sacrifices and the lifestyle that I love may be the first thing on the chopping block.  You see, I live out on Hwy 107 north of Mission and the station is in Weslaco.  Last month all I did was drive to and from work 5 and sometimes 6 days a week plus a little driving around town to run errands and stuff and my fuel bill was $700!!  I can only imagine what it would have been had I gone to Falcon lake a couple of times to go fishing with my dad or have gone up to my deer lease in Lampasas.  I have even lately thought about selling my truck for something small like a Cobalt or a Focus...the only reason I haven't yet is because I know that all the guys on my lease will laugh at me when I come cruising up to the cabin with a deer strapped to the hood of a Focus.
