On Saturday December 8, 2012, KTEX hosted our 3rd Annual 10 Man Jam. Ten different artists gave of their talents and efforts to play for our KTEX listeners and help raise funds for the Food Bank RGV. When all was said & done, KTEX listeners helped raise $38,811 for the Food Bank - T R E M E N D O U S !

Special thanks to Wink, Linda and their staff at Winks Saloon, The Food Bank, Cricket Wireless, The Boot Jack, and our Clear Channel staff for their help in preparation & execution of the event.

More big props to: Greg Bates, Dustin Lynch, Chris Cagle, Jana Kramer, The Farm, Bucky Covington, Madelyn Victoria, Craig Campbell, Eden's Edge, and Katie Armiger. It is such a great feeling having artists perform in South Texas, then seeing their career elevate to the next level.

They play for us & go back to Nashville, tell their fellow artists, booking agencies, mangement, and record companies about their experience here. They tell them of how our KTEX listeners sang the words back to them...how they got choked up on stage...how they were received...it is a true testament to how great OUR listeners are!

Thank you KTEX listeners!

Here is what Greg Bates had to say in a national Country Music industry publication...

I'll never forget the time I played the KTEX Ten Man Jam
in Brownsville, TX. There were a ton of people at the show. I started singing, "Did It For the Girl" and realized that the crowd was singing louder than me. I backed away from the mic and they sang the whole first verse back to me. It was one of the most amazing feelings.
