She won American Idol & hasn't looked back since...her career has skyrocketed...I'm talking about Carrie Underwood. What a fantastic voice & a great person.
Carrie just released her new video for her latest single, SEE YOU AGAIN. Click on the link to see her premiere it on Good Morning America.
At a recent assembly at a jr high school gym brought some national attention to a student, in May. Some mocked him & the bass drummer laughed at him...but, as far as I am concerned, he did what he thought was appropriate. You can't blame the kid.
We are taught as kids, to stand at attention during the national anthem. Unfortunately, I've been to stadiums where adults, athletes, and coaches are walking or running while the anthem is being performed. Is there any respect for the flag anymore? I understand a team may be late getting on the field, but if that anthem is being played or sung, you need to stop what you are doing.
I have to admit, when I was a freshman in high school, I did that. I had to get oil for my instrument, so I ran back to the band hall...and right behind me, was my principal. He let me have it. "You stand still & don't move during the national anthem," he said. Since then, I am STILL!
The parents of this young gentleman should be applauded for teaching their child. He was performing, something went wrong & he reacted rather quickly & stood at attention. Way 2 go!
Before the George Strait show, I had a chance to say hi to Miranda Lambert. We exchanged plesantries & took a picture.
After the picture, I asked her, "are those real?"...I was referring to the spikes on her shoulders...someone told me I shouldn't ask things like that!...Ugh, oops...I didn't mean it like that.
Apperently, she didn't take it that way, since she didn't clobber me...lol...

Too cute! Can you recite the books of the New Testament...and cover a George Strait song? Love this! Parents have to be awfully proud & a bit embarrassed, too! Njoy!
When I was younger, a lot of my friends would come to my house often & eat with my family. My mom would make flour tortillas & we'd play outside...typical kids...
When we were at the table (& still today) my mom would always place either a bowl of hot sauce or a bowl of peppers on the table next to my dad...he would pluck them off the stem & crunch into them. I could NEVER do that & I still can't. I can do a mild sauce, with more tomoato & onions, but nothing that even looks remotely hot. Never have & never will...
My friends would always ask my dad if they could have some & he obliged & gave them some. He would then look over at me & give me the "& you?...what about you?" look. No way!
There is a reporter who filed a report on Food & Beverage (The Telegraph), who took on a challenge of eating a chili pie...something should go off in your brain that when you have to sign a waiver before you eat it, you really don't need it. Especially when the disclaimer reads..."some problems may occur several days after the consumption of this product".
This disclaimer also reads: "this product contains the hottest known ingredients on planet Earth which could lead to stress to the heart, asthma attacks and other problems." This bad boy is made from 2 of the world's hottest peppers!
Check out this link of a reporter doing a story on the chili pie.
I was reading this article (Metro News & Daily Mirror) & it made me stop to think...wow - are people really this vain? Are they over confident people? What makes them think so high & mighty of themselves?...
A lady, named Laura Fernee says that because she is sooooo good looking, it has forced her to quit working! Imagine that!?! She said, "my good looks have caused massive problems for me when it comes to employment, so I've made the decision that employment isn't for me at the moment." She went on to say, "It's not my fault, I can't help the way I look."
Apparently, her pretty face & slim figure was garnering some unwanted attention from her male co-workers. Laura is also claiming that female co-workers were jealous of her "beauty."
Take a look at her & see the video of her, what do you think? I know that physical beauty is just skin deep, but is she justified, or is she "just another pretty face?"
This weekend, George Strait celebrated his birthday & his fans & country radio gave him a nice gift...another #1 song! GIVE IT ALL WE GOT TONIGHT is country music's newest #1 song in America! See the video:
