ARE YOU NORMAL??

If you've never taken a break from obsessively checking Facebook, give it a try. We promise you won't miss anything even remotely important. BUT . . . don't give it up forever. That would be CRAZY.

The Pew Internet & American Life Project just released the results of a nationwide survey on Facebook, and found that

61% of us have taken a VOLUNTARY BREAK from Facebook. Most of those breaks last at least a few weeks.

The top reason for taking a break was getting TOO BUSY. The rest of the top five reasons are losing interest . . . feeling like it's a waste of time . . . getting sick of the negativity and drama . . . or spending too much time on the site.

But even if you've taken a break . . . you've probably gone back. Only

20% of people surveyed said they've quit Facebook for good after their break.

Also, believe it or not,

8% of the people who aren't on Facebook say they're still interested in signing up in the future. We're not EXACTLY sure where they've been for the past five years or so, but by all means . . . no rush.
